Constucted Nature is an art and design project by Hester Blankestijn (photographer) and Marielle Wichards (product designer).
After we have worked together on the visuals of the designs of Wichards geeft vorm we decided it was time to combine our views in this new creative partnership.
Constructing vases of fresh flowers which seem to live undependably on the created space are in perfect balance with the colors of the different seasons and flowers.
These photographic artworks can add a touch of nature in any interior setting. Next to the different sizes high-end artprints we sell, we can also make an unique solution for your interior in any requested size.
Hester Blankestijn studied photography at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague. Since 1999 she worked as a professional commercial photographer for different clients mostly in the field of art and design.
Her personal projects explore tableau vivant photography always with a classical visual language where an element of surprise is present, something which is unplanned and develops in front of the camera; a bird who explores the set or in co-creation with other professionals in the field of the arts. These photographs are exhibited and sold in different countries.
Marielle Wichards works as a product designer, Wichards geeft vorm. She creates unique or limited editions where the relation user-product-environment is a central starting point. Objects that feed, stimulate thoughts, surprise but most of all evoke a smile.
Over the last few years she has been working on different kind of interieur projects at Thomas Schaper Design where all these elements comes together.
